Dayag ("the app"), by Humfurie, is a document reader for PDF, EPUB, and Office files. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, upload, or transmit the contents of any document you open. Your files, reading position, bookmarks, and annotations stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Information we collect
- Account information (only if you sign in): When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a user ID. Sign-in is optional and used only for account features such as ad-free status.
- Diagnostics and crash data: We use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to collect crash logs, app-interaction events, device model/OS, and an approximate region derived from your IP address (the IP itself is not stored). This helps us fix bugs and improve the app.
- Advertising: We show banner ads via Google AdMob, which uses a device advertising identifier and approximate location to serve and measure ads.
- Purchases: If you buy "Remove ads," the transaction is processed and recorded by Google Play. We receive only whether the entitlement is active, not your payment details.
How we use your data
To provide sign-in and ad-free status, serve and measure ads, diagnose crashes, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.
Data sharing and third parties
Dayag uses Google services that process the data above: Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics), Google AdMob, and Google Play Billing. The advertising identifier and approximate location are shared with Google for advertising purposes. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies. All data sent by the app is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time — in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by email. See the account deletion page for steps and exactly what is removed. Anonymized diagnostics may be retained for up to 90 days.
Children's privacy
Dayag is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
