Dayag — PDF & document reader, by Humfurie
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Dayag is a document reader for PDF, EPUB, and Office files. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your choices. The short version: the documents you open never leave your device, and the only account data we hold is what's needed for optional sign-in and features you choose to use.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, upload, or transmit the contents of any document you open. Your files, reading position, bookmarks, annotations, and caches stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Information we collect
- Account info (only if you sign in): when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a user identifier. Sign-in is optional and only used for account-linked features such as ad-free status.
- Diagnostics & crash data: we use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to collect crash reports, app-interaction events, device model/OS, and an approximate region derived from your IP address (the IP itself is not stored). This helps us fix bugs and understand which features are used.
- Advertising: the app shows banner ads via Google AdMob, which uses a device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads.
- Purchases: if you buy "Remove ads," the transaction is processed and recorded by Google Play. We receive only whether the entitlement is active, not your payment details.
How we use it
To provide sign-in and ad-free status, serve and measure ads, diagnose crashes, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.
Data sharing & third-party services
Dayag uses Google services that process the data above: Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics), Google AdMob, and Google Play Billing. The advertising identifier is shared with Google for advertising purposes. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies.
All data sent by the app is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time — in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by email. See the account deletion page for steps and exactly what is removed. Anonymized diagnostics may be retained for up to 90 days.
Children's privacy
Dayag is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
